PLANiTWRiGHT received permission twice under ‘Permitted Development’ rights for the conversion of Regent House, a modern six storey office building in a sustainable location in Barnsley town centre.

Two applications were submitted simultaneously under the ‘Prior Approval’ process together with information relating to transport and highways, land contamination and flood risk. One application was for 54 one bedroom flats and a second application was for 35 two bedroom flats. The prior approval of the Council was not required for either proposal so the client could go ahead with the conversion works of their choice.
